BRIDLE CALCULATOR
2-LEG BRIDLE · STATIC LOAD ANALYSIS
Angle: –
Angle: –
Static calculation for a stationary point load supported by two idealised tension-only legs. Anchor points are at the same elevation; angles are measured from the horizontal. Kilogram and pound values are converted to weight force using standard gravity (9.80665 m/s²). Self-weight, dynamic effects, connecting hardware and load capacities are not considered. The sum of leg tensions is not a resultant force. This calculation does not constitute a load capacity verification or replace approval by a qualified professional.
PYTHAGORAS CALCULATOR
RIGHT TRIANGLE · LENGTHS & ANGLES
Select two known values above. The selected inputs are editable; all remaining lengths and angles are calculated automatically. Angle γ is always 90°.
TRUSS LOAD CALCULATOR
2–10 PICKUP POINTS · STATIC LOAD DISTRIBUTION
Default truss: Eurotruss FD34, approx. 6 kg/m. Cable load is additional and distributed uniformly across the full truss length.
Distances measured from the left end of the truss. All pickups are assumed to be at the same elevation.
Enter suspended loads in kg and their positions in metres from the left end.
For slack pickups, the signed reaction from the all-pickups-engaged beam model is displayed as a reference value. Actual tension in a slack hoist is 0 kN. These two model results must not be confused.
IMPORTANT – CALCULATION LIMITATIONS: Entered point loads, uniformly distributed truss self-weight and uniformly distributed cable load are included. Chain hoists, rigging hardware, slings, shackles and all other additional loads are excluded. Only cable weight explicitly entered in the cable-load field is included. This is an idealised linear-elastic continuous-beam calculation with unilateral (tension-only) equal-height supports, constant bending stiffness (EI), and vertical static loads. Inactive pickups are assumed slack and are excluded from the load-bearing system. For slack pickups, a separate signed reference reaction is displayed from the all-pickups-engaged model; this is not an actual hoist force. Actual truss behaviour, connection stiffness, deflection, hoist adjustment, load sharing, uplift, dynamic effects and permissible load capacities are not verified. This tool is for preliminary estimation only and does not replace a structural analysis, manufacturer load tables or verification by a qualified person.
